ZigBee connectivity is a MESH connection, which means that each device ZigBee acts as a relay for other devices. If a remote sensor does ot have communication with the ZigBee Gateway, it is sufficient that it has radio communication with another ZigBee device that has communication with the gateway. The devices work in a mesh chain of connections, which ensures reliability and certainty of the connection.
ZigBee devices and sensors consume very little energy, which gives a long battery life.
Devices using the ZigBee protocol connect to the control panel when the state changes to 0 .2 Seconds. Wifi devices take about 5 seconds to connect to the Wifi etwork after a state change. ZigBee devices have a huge advantage when it comes to automating smart rules.
